Belief is allowed. Doubt is allowed. Strange experience is allowed. So is saying, “I do not know what that was.”
Why it exists
Humans still need meaning.
We still grieve, promise, hope, celebrate, bury our dead, raise children, ask what consciousness is, wonder whether anything continues, and live with consequences that outlast us.
The Continuance offers language, practice and shared life for those questions without pretending uncertainty has disappeared.
At its centre
What you do to another, you do to yourself.
This does not erase boundaries, consent, responsibility or law. It makes them more important. Connection is not an excuse to dissolve the individual. Agency, wellbeing, truth, protection, responsibility and repair remain real.
Human-scale practice
Religion belongs in kitchens as much as sanctuaries, in ordinary days as much as special occasions.
Accountable belonging
No private revelation gives authority over another person. Children are not required to profess belief. People may leave.
